Customer Support Engineer

Surety is searching for a customer support engineer. This role will be a key member of the team and participate in all activities supporting the customer from purchase and onboarding to maintenance and technical support. The single most important qualification for this role is a strong desire to learn, contribute, and keep customers happy.

Job Activities

Typical activities for this role include:

  • Make recommendations and create documentation
  • Handle online customer service requests and provide technical support
  • Process customer orders and returns
  • Manage security alarm monitoring accounts

The successful candidate will have these key attributes:

  • Open-minded and excited to learn on the job
  • Affinity for solving technical problems with electronics and internet systems
  • Understanding of security alarm, camera, and home automation technologies
  • Comfortable communicating in online communities and web forums
  • Motivated and reliable with a high say/do ratio

Surety is a self-install (DIY) home security monitoring provider that utilizes the Alarm.com platform. They focus on efficiency, scalability, and automation using ecommerce and web technologies. This role is an opportunity to learn and utilize modern tools and help shape the future of a small but established and growing home technology company.

This is a remote-work position. Candidates must be comfortable and effective using internet tools to communicate with co-workers and customers. Customer support is provided online-only, not by phone.
