The Honeywell 5853 is our recommended alternative to the 2GIG-GB1-345 in circumstances where false alarms are a concern due to environmental noises such as dog barks. It offers four adjustable sensitivity settings as well as built in false alarm protection to provide reliable detection of breaking glass.

The 5853 has a maximum range of 25 feet. Keep in mind that as an audio detection device, the 5853 must more or less face the protected glass and have uninterrupted line of sight in order for full proper functionality. Installation where intervening walls or other blockage exists between the detector and the glass will not allow proper function.
