What makes it different: Wi-Fi sensing
One of the things that sets the system apart is Wi-Fi motion sensing, a smarter way to detect activity inside your home. It analyzes subtle changes in Wi-Fi signal patterns to detect motion across multiple rooms, extending awareness well beyond the field of view of a conventional motion detector. Wi-Fi sensing doesn’t replace your traditional alarm sensors, it works alongside them. The nami Agile Security System supports door & window contacts and PIR motion detectors just like you’d expect from a professionally monitored Alarm.com system. Wi-Fi sensing is a new sensor technology added on top of that proven foundation, so you get the reliability of conventional sensors plus a modern sensing capability that sees more of your home. In fact, nami’s fusion sensing technology combines Wi-Fi sensing with data from your traditional sensors to make smarter, system-level decisions about what’s actually happening in your home. Glass break, fire, CO, and emergency medical sensors are coming soon, expanding the system’s protection even further.

What to know before you join
This is an early access program, so we want to be upfront about where things stand today. Two limitations apply right now, and early participants get a discounted path to the upcoming improvements.
- Connectivity: The system reports alarms through Wi-Fi and broadband only. An Alarm.com dual-path communication (cellular + broadband) upgrade is planned for later this year, and early access customers are eligible for a discounted upgrade once it’s available.
- Smart home integrations: The system doesn’t yet support local Z-Wave devices. Today it works with Alarm.com cloud-connected products: Schlage Encode smart locks, LiftMaster and Aladdin Connect garage door systems, Ecobee and Nest thermostats, and Lutron and Deako lighting. A Z-Wave bridge is planned for customers who want local Z-Wave device support.
Early participants will be among the first households in the country to use the platform, and you’ll get a discounted upgrade path to the upcoming Pro configuration, featuring Alarm.com dual-path communication, once it ships later this year.
