Faster, More Reliable Text Notifications For Verizon Customers

As of Monday, March 14th Alarm.com customers using Verizon cell phone service are able to receive system notifications faster and more reliably via text than before. We have been working with Verizon to improve speed and deliverability, and now have the ability to send text messages through a direct connection to Verizon’s SMS Center.
In order to use this direct connection, all SMS notifications to customers with Verizon cell phone service need to come from a different address than they have in the past. These text notifications are sent from 777204160002.

If you are not an Alarm.com customer:

This number is the standard sender address for Verizon sms notifications for any of the thousands of Alarm.com dealers. If you are receiving notifications from 777204160002 but you do not use Alarm.com services, please reach out to info@alarm.com for assistance. Include the phone number receiving the notifications, let them know you aren’t a customer, and that your phone number should not be associated with any user account.
