Failed Zwave Device Removal

On my alarm.com account that starts with Y I have 4 failed zwave devices that I need to have removed by technical support since I cannot remove them locally on my Concord 4 system. They have all been renamed “remove”.

Also, please send the command on that same account to rebuild the zwave network, since I also cannot do that locally.

Thanks.

Phil

We can certainly send commands, but note that remote deletion of Z-wave devices only works if the devices are powered down and no longer can communicate at all with the panel.

You can indeed remove Z-wave devices locally. We have sent commands to the ones you’ve mentioned, as well as a rediscovery, but see the local steps below for future use and in case the commands do not work:

Locate the Alarm.com module.
Press and hold the button on the module.
Release the button once the L2 LED ashes in groups of four.
Press and hold the button on the module a second time.
Release the button once the L2 LED ashes in groups of two.
Trigger a device to erase its network data and delete it from the network.
When a device is deleted successfully, L2 will go solid for 60 seconds and the keypad will beep.
It is required to re-enter Delete Mode before triggering the next device.

You are correct that a network rediscovery cannot be initiated locally. We’ve sent that as well.
