Qolsys Remote Question

I am planning to upgrade an old security system in my townhouse to a Qolsys IQ Panel 2 system. I am trying to decide if is worth paying for an extra remote panel. I only have two entry points to my home, a front door and an entrance to the garage one floor down. I’ve read about some of the connectivity issues with the remote panel and was wondering whether they are worth it since you can basically arm/disarm from your smartphone. Thanks in advance for any advice.

It is always nice to have a local arming and disarming option, but I have not touched my panel physically to arm or disarm it in months. The vast majority of the time I use my phone and Alarm.com scenes to control the system arming/disarming. (Scenes can even be set as home page widgets on your phone)

Thanks for the advice. I think I’m going to just get the one panel. If I absolutely need it, I can always add it later.
