Multiple Triggers

Is there a way to setup my system to not send an alarm if only one motion detector goes off? Just one motion detector detected activity in my guest room and since everyone was asleep or didn’t answer, the police were called. I would love to be able to say more than one motion detector has to detect activity or a door was opened or a glass break sensor went off. The motion detectors seem to be too prone to false alarms.

This is called Cross-Zoning. With the 2GIG GC2 Panel there is an option to set the last two zones as cross-sensor-zones which will require both to be tripped in order to trigger an alarm. There cannot be additional cross sensors though, just the last two zones.

You can enable this in Q33 in system configuration. Then you would program two desired sensors as those last two zones (and remove the existing zones they occupy).

Q34 then controls how quickly the second zone must be tripped to consider it an alarm. This can be set between 10 and 120 seconds.
