One of our motion detectors has been going off. Nothing seems to be hanging. Can you look at any data you may have as to what’s causing it? It is the 3rd time in a week.
Happy to help! Note that a motion detector is just a security sensor that sends open/close (activated/idle) status to the panel. There is no additional data that can be used to say what specifically caused an activation, except other sensor data to put together a picture of entry and movement through the home.
Typically abrupt changes in behavior of a sensor and repeated false alarms coincide with an environmental change near that sensor.
Do you have any pets? Cats in particular?
Do you have nearby air vents?
When was the last time this sensor’s battery was replaced?
