I recently purchased and installed a 10-345 thin door/window switch that’s installed on the cabinet door of my aquarium. Its programmed to turn on and off a light that’s plugged into a z-wave switch under my cabinet and also to notify me of that door opening. How do I correctly program this switch so that it is used as a monitor only and not to trigger an alarm event or inhibit the alarm from arming if the cabinet door is left open…
For “sensor type”, you want to select “no response type” for the cabinet door. Be sure to set up notifications for when you want to be alerted that the door has opened/closed. Also make sure sensor activity monitoring is enabled for that sensor on the Alarm.com.
