How to Prevent Dispatch Using Dialer Delay

I disarmed the alarm through the alarm.com app. Can it be setup so that so that dispatch is aborted in this case too? Basically, in any case in which the alarm is turned off I want dispatch to be aborted and for the police NOT to come. We already got one fine from the police for this and we want to avoid another one!

Happy to assist!

Once an alarm signal is received, it will be acted upon by central station operators regardless of whether or not an abort signal has been received. This is standard procedure. A valid verbal password must be given to an operator to verify even when a disarm code is entered locally or a remote disarm command is sent.

However, it is possible to rectify this even before central station receives the alarm signal. If you find that you have a high amount of false alarm situations, utilizing dialer delay is likely the best option.

Dialer delay is a delay period between when an alarm is tripped and when the signal is forwarded to the central station. This is a way panels combat false alarm response by limiting unnecessary dispatch on accidental alarms. Signal is still sent to ADC but not to the Central Station. If the panel is disarmed in the time period dictated by the dialer delay then the central station would not act on it .

This feature is configurable by the end user. For the IQ Panel 2, a description of the Dialer Delay feature and how to adjust it is on page 24 of the manual.
