Can you advise how sensitive this glass breakage unit is. The wall that I would have to mount the sensor on is 22 feet from the windows. Would that work or is it too far?

The manual for the IQ Glass-S QS1431-840 states a 20 foot max detection range and specifies placement guidelines.
I would not expect reliable functionality past the manual’s stated distance. Keep in mind you can mount the detector on the ceiling, as long as there are no obstructions between it and the windows.
