CT 100 Extreme Temp Issue

I receive an extreme temperature alert and notification that the CT100 temperature set point will be reduced 1 degree. However I want just the opposite.( house is set at 55; I don’t want it any lower!) I want to raise the temperature a degree. Any thoughts?

The Extreme Temp rule you mention is based off of the forecast outside temperature, not current indoor temp, and its purpose is to save energy when temperatures rise or drop to levels making it more difficult for the HVAC to efficiently heat or cool.

An example: Whenever the forecast temperature is below 15 degrees, my thermostat lowers the set point by 2 degrees to ease the strain on the HVAC and save energy.

However I want just the opposite.( house is set at 55; I don’t want it any lower!) I want to raise the temperature a degree. Any thoughts?

I would advise turning off the rule. Automatically increasing the temp when the outside temperature gets lower is not recommended, as it increases costs and lowers efficiency.

Thanks Jason. I will turn off the rule.
