Cell Phone Test

Hi,

I just now replaced the cell module on the panel and getting following message when I tried to run cell phone test.

phone test over radio modem timed out. The cell phone test failed.

Please check and activate my account if it’s not already done.

Looks like the account this is concerning is indeed active (if you received a welcome email, your accounts are ready)

It is possible to try a cell phone test too quickly after installation. Typically your panel will need a couple minutes after powering up to to be ready and register a steady signal if your module was not previously connected to service.

Try running the cell test again. Any difference?

Tried 2 times again, still getting same message.

Does your cellular module report a radio status signal strength? What is the signal strength?

Did you install the module with the panel powered down completely? (transformer and battery)

I was lazy and didn’t remove the battery pack. The test is successful now. Thanks a lot Jason.
