I purchased a Alarm.com camera ADC-VC836 I tried to add it to my system and got a message that this camera is not supported. Is there anything that can be done so I can make use of this new camera?
The ADC VC836 is a compatible camera and you have enough open slots for cameras on your Alarm.com account.
During device pairing the camera must be on the local area network that your computer is connected to. Is that the case here?
Is it possible to post the exact error message you are seeing here?
Did you buy this camera new or was it from a third party?
I bought it new. I remember now that when I connected the other camera that I did connect it for the first time on a Local area network. Even though it was not at the location that the camera was installed. As soon as I connected it, it worked right away. The location is at a remote rural property So I will take my laptop and do the initial set up from the laptop.
