If one 2GIG smoke detector is triggered, will the panel set off the other 2GIG detectors in the house? Just wondering if, say in the middle of the night, something downstairs begins smoldering, will it set off all detectors in the house?

No, only the smoke detectors that detect smoke will sound. Also, the alarm panel and any TS1’s or sirens you have will sound when any smoke detector alarms.
Here is a suggestion…go to Lowes and get the Utilitech (iris). 100db zwave siren/strobe. They cost $29.
Put it in your upstairs hallway for intrusion alarm and fire alarm notification. Place others wherever else you want a siren.
They turn on when alarms activate, turn off when alarm is cleared.
